There are two methods to complete the Netgear Nighthawk Setup – One is set up in Router Mode and the other is set up in WiFi Repeater Mode.
Netgear Nighthawk Setup in Router Mode- Steps to follow:
Check and make sure that you have removed the antenna caps from the router’s antenna ports.
Now, you need to turn on the wireless router and let the LED lights to turn to white.
Connect the router and modem using the Ethernet cable.
Access the routerlogin.net link on your web browser and select the ‘Router Mode’ option.
This will direct you to the Netgear Genie Setup Wizard page.
Now, you need to follow the onscreen instructions to proceed with the Nighthawk setup process.
Once you are done, click on the apply button to complete the setup in Router mode.
Netgear Nighthawk Setup in WiFi Repeater Mode- Steps to follow:
Turn on your router.
Open the web browser on your device that is connected to the router network.
Visit the routerlogin.net page and type the default username and password to log in.
Once you are successfully logged in, you will see the Netgear Genie setup page is appearing on your screen.
Click on the ‘Wireless Repeater’ option and type the IP address of your repeater.
Follow the on-screen guidelines and to proceed and complete the Setup process.
